OPILIO/SNOW CRAB UP NEXT FOR ALASKA BERING SEA CRABBERS

Now that Bristol Bay Red King crab and St. Matthew’s Blue King crab have wrapped up for the year, Opilio/Snow crab will be next up for Alaska Bering Sea Crabbers. While the season officially opened on October 15, 2012, fishing for Snow crab doesn’t typically get started until early January. Learn More >

KING CRAB SEASON STARTS ON MONDAY!

Alaska Bering Sea Crabbers will be heading out to the fishing grounds on Monday October 15 for the start of the 2012/2013 Bristol Bay Red King crab and St. Matthew’s Blue King crab season. The total allowable catch for Bristol Bay is a little more than 7 million pounds. The St. Matthew’s quota is about 1.4 million pounds. Learn More >
